Shoes in geisha-sports style

...presented on 10 February 2013 at the Y-3 Fall/Winter 2013/14 fashion show during New York Fashion Week. The title of the show's concept was 'Future Thrift'. Y-3 describes the concept as the imagination "how coming generations might mix elements of technology and tradition."

Y-3 designer Yohji Yamamoto's idea behind the "walking backward into the future" was visualized additionally with a non-linear live-stream with four cameras from different angles which can be replayed on Y-3.com until September 2013. Users can magnify the screen that interests the most and choose between views onto the whole outfit from front, back, side or the close-up of shoes.
