Kitchen devices that remind 1950s car design

In early April 2014, the Italian producer of home appliances De'Longhi sent on occasion of Easter, the first warm days in the garden and on terraces some images which show 1950s retro-devices of the 'Viintage Icona'-series from the label's Breakfast Collections. The coffee and espresso machines, toaster and kettle are available in various color variations (the range differs on delonghi.com with countries) and remind with their wood and chrome details car design of that time. The toaster (image right) evokes the impression of sitting behind the wheel of a Maserati, on the right side the gear shift and the buttons for the best driving mode: bagel, defrost or reheat.
