Summer (July, August) travel tip Tirol, Austria: Women & flowers inspired British artist Simon Costin for the creation of 'The Enchanted Garden' at Swarovski Kristallwelten

From 1 July until 31 August, Swarovski Kristallwelten will present the outdoor summer festival stage 'The Enchanted Garden' created by British artist Simon Costin who has worked as stage designer for clients such H&M X Erdem, Philipp Plein SS18, Zara, Carolina Herrera, Bulgari, Harrods, etc. or in the editorial field for Vogue Italia, Dazed, W Magazine,... (projects on view at the website of the creative agency clm-agency.com; fast checked today).

For 'The Enchanted Garden' at Swarovski Kristallwelten in Wattens (Tirol, Austria), Simon Costin was inspired by women and still life paintings of Dutch masters. Alice in Wonderland, Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', a Welsh legend about a girl grown entirely out of flowers or Daphne from Roman poet Ovid's 'Metamorphoses' - Daphne transformed into a laurel tree, are mentioned as inspiring sources.

The garden will offer several interactive features: It's announced that guests can make selfies with floral creations on their heads, conduct a flower orchestra powered by the sound of plants, or apply the personal wish on a special tree and transform it together with other guests' memo-leaves, literally 'leaflets', into a blossoming wish tree.

For the magical fantasy tour through the garden, Swarovski provides food in picnic baskets filled with dishes such as Blossom-Hot-Dogs. At the open-air cinema, visitors can enjoy per day movies selected to match the garden theme; in the afternoon especially for children (in German) like 'Küss den Frosch' (Kiss the Frog); in the evening, movies (original soundtrack and subtitles) such as 'Magic in the Moonlight'.
