CARAVANA
This collection is created by 2 Australian women who settled in Chitral, a small village nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, to work with Pakistan women: the artisans have centuries of experience and use age old methods. next>>> Cathy Braid and Kirsten Ainsworth, had the dream to start a fashion label with a conscience. In June 2003, the girls boarded a plane to Pakistan. In May 2004 Caravana was launched at the New Gen parade at Sydney Fashion Week. Caravana empowers women in Pakistan, teaming up with a locally run NGO which is part of the international Aga Khan network.
