quiet, concentrated and intensely disciplined. van drimmelen is consumed by construction. in this way, she stands out from the new generation of dutch designers, many of whom approach clothing as an exercise in conceptuality. not that van drimmelen is lacking ideas. it is just that even while she often begins in the abstract, she always finds her way to the concrete.
