But if you´re expecting to see a collection with an Oriental flavour you´ll be disappointed. These two young stylists seem, on the contrary, to be obsessed with the bon ton preppy image of wealthy American adolescents: it´s as if they´ve taken a Ralph Lauren or Brooks Brothers wardrobe and reinterpreted it with offset, asymmetric cuts with no apparent logical criteria. The result is a collection that is on the surface simple, correct and bourgeois, but the details of their creations betray a subtle, ironic and corrosive political content.
