First introduced in the early 1950s by Guccio Gucci, the crest depicts a knight in armor carrying luggage, a nod to local legend that the Gucci family were saddlers to Renaissance royalty. Above the knight there is a rose and helm, chosen to symbolize respectively a certain refinement and the entrepreneurial power of the family. The historical Gucci crest was sourced from Gucci’s archives.
