#Vintage #fashion: vintage and new clothing in a mix

The vintage shop 'What Goes Around Comes Around' (WGACA) on West Broadway between Broome and Grand Street in SoHo, New York is legendary! In 2010, the owners of the vintage shop Gerard Maione and Seth Weisser have launched the own 'Vintage'-collection (creative direction by Maione) which is named after the shop WGACA.

Since some years, WGACA is also available in Los Angeles; recently on 22 July 2011, the new store 'La Brea' opened. In an interview with Rebecca Paiement on Sportswearnet, WGACA Seth Weisser and Gerard Maione speak about the differences between vintage and new clothing, the best selling brands, styles ("Of course, the Missoni and Chanel pieces are always client favorites...") and announce the party in the California shop 'La Brea' on occasion of Fashion’s Night Out (FNO is organised by Vogue worldwide) on 8 September.

The collection's nomadic/gypsy/jetset style is inspired by authentic cultural reflections of chroniclers, stylists, and designers which are published in magazine editorials and advertising from the 1960s/70s. Alongside to the stores and own fashion line, WGACA has a vintage clothing and textile library that is frequented by editors, stylists, and designers. The collection WGACA is available in such famous stores like Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Fred Segal, Isetan...
