The collection consists of sunglasses for women and men - most of them are unisex models. Their designs are derived from vintage classical shapes which are re-interpreted with sport's esthetics and high-tech material. Yohji Yamamoto's design approach is known from his fashion collections for the collaborative adidas label Y-3. For the SS2013 eyewear, Y-3 uses CR-39 lenses (lighter than glass, less chromatic aberration) or high-tech polycarbonate lenses (protect virtually from 100% harmful UV rays, more resistant, lighter and thinner than standard plastic lenses).
