winner 2001> DRAPE-DESIGN A/W 2001/02 Collection

The Drape-Design label was set up at the start of 2000 by Berlin girls Natascha Munera and Rosa Müller-Dombois (Photo: with Winnie Andersen from Pierre Lang in the centre) and set itself the task of combining sporting practicality and fashionable cut. They have already won 1st prize in the Sportswear category of the "Brand New-New Brand" design competition at ISPO 2000 in Munich with their knitted dress for lady bikers.

Drape-Design creates collections for both men and women and was showing the complete SS/AW collection for the first time at the Museum für Kommunikation in Berlin.

The 2001/2002 winter collection addressed the needs of "Schneehäschen und Schneehasen" [Snow Bunnies]. Innovative, modern materials (intelligent fabrics) were emphasised when selecting fabrics for the collection, with a strong, clean, palette of colours.

The fundamental concept behind Drape-Design’s collections is an uncompromising symbiosis of sports- and fashionwear, which should communicate a feel for life in addition to practicality – clothing as living space!

The clothing can be used universally for any activity – sporting, professional or social. The elegant cut outlines and supports the ergonomic shape of the body in motion. The fashion for mobility is also taken up in the potential integration of microelectronics (hands-free mobiles, Minidisc players, GPS navigation systems etc.).
