In August 2009, the UK based online retailer Lingerieplease www.lingerieplease.co.uk presented its season's Must Haves like a Wonderbra Multiplunge with straps to be worn in multiple versions with the note "Every fashionista should have one in their draw so they will never be stuck for a bra when trying to wear even the most difficult of items" or Skinkiss Caffeine tights with active ingredients of caffeine that can help to stimulate the circulation in the legs.

In 1958 Annemarie Lindner's cosmetic business was so successful that the East German government wanted to nationalize it. The German cosmetic pioneer had to flee with her family to the West. In 1959 she has started with the label Annemarie Börlind in West Germany again. On occasion of the brand's 50th anniversary, the founder Annemarie Lindner speaks about the history of the brand, her inspirations, the approach to beauty and health, and what ecological awareness has to do with 'Celebrity Red' lip color, dead lice and eatable ingredients.

In August 2009, the Austrian online shop Styleaut.com featured a 'naughty' sock shirt as the monthly special; the shirt by the Viennese fashion label ‚unartig’ - which means as much as ‚naughty’ - is made of socks. The label 'unartig' was founded by the architect Anita Steinwidder in 2002. Many of her pieces are made of odds which she cuts and sews together for new unique clothes.
