The winner of the Triumph Fashion Award 05
is presented by the European culture channel
Triumph International Fashion Award 2005 winner Rafael Gomes is a promising newcomer in European fashion: he has style, a great sense of humour and no fear of designing sexy models – these qualities make the very special elegant note of his work. The European culture channel ARTE produces a documentary about Rafael Gomes’ work.

The success series continues: in September 2005 the young designer Rafael Gomes got more than 11,000 single votes from internet users in the election of the Triumph International Fashion Award and conquered his competitors in three rounds of expert juries. In November 2005 Gomes was looking for the next challenge and was elected among the winners at the competition ‘WeltGewänder 2005’ of the ‘Welthungerhilfe’ (German Agro Action). The Brazilian born fashion designer, now living in Munich and studying at the ‘Deutsche Meisterschule für Mode’ (German Master School for Fashion), is the darling of the media: in January 2006 the German newspaper ‘Welt’ has published an enthusiastic article and now the team of the TV station ARTE is working on the documentary about Rafael Gomes.
The deadline for the Triumph International Fashion Award 2006 is the 1. May 2006. The theme of this year’s award ‘Dress up for Mozart – Rock up Rococo!’ is focused on creative and innovative design of women’s wear that celebrates the beauty of luxurious lingerie as visible and integral parts of clothes.
