Austrian artist, researcher and professor for game design Margarete Jahrmann received media art prize by the City of Vienna

Since 2014, the Medienkunstpreis (Media Art Prize) of the City of Vienna is handed out each year to innovative artists with focus on media. This year's jury consisting of the curators Verena Kaspar-Eisert, Günther Friesinger and Andrea Löbel selected Austrian artist Margarete Jahrmann whose work and research on art and new technologies provide new perspectives on the virtual space. Margarete Jahrmann is Professor for Game Design at the Züricher Hochschule der Künste and Professor for Artistic Research at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
