Tyrol Insights: The ART Innsbruck Award 2021 was handed out to artist Jürgen Norbert Fux for his series 'Church - Reflections on the Questionable' developed from studies on contradictions in Church

The 25th edition of ART Innsbruck happened recently from 28 to 31 October 2021 at the Olympiaworld in Innsbruck, the capital of the Austrian federal state Tyrol. For the first time ever, the international art fair dedicated an award to extraordinary works of participating artists. The Art-Innsbruck-Kunstpreis 2021 was handed out to the in Hallein, Salzburg based artist Jürgen Norbert Fux who convinced, according to the media release, the secret and independent jury of experts because his cycle 'Church - Reflections of the Questionable' (original title 'Kirche - Reflexionen des Fraglichen') was developed from an artistic study on the contradictions in Church. "Fux creates sacred new creations that impress," said ART Innsbruck Director Johanna Penz about the decision of the jury.
