Rally of iconic cars 'Ennstal Classic' paid tribute to the birth place and year of the first ever 'Porsche'
At the four days (18 - 21 July) event series through the Austrian alps of the rally of iconic cars 'Ennstal Classic', the 70th anniversary of the first ever Porsche, the Porsche type 356 'No. 1' Roadster, was celebrated. The car was developed by Ferdinand 'Ferry' Porsche in 1948 in a garage in Gmünd in Carinthia, Austria. The Porsche type 356 'No. 1' Roadster is the prototype for the Porsche 356, produced in series from 1950. The design is the origin of Porsche sports cars conceived in the following decades (timeline German - English).
