Tips for storing skis, snowboards, gear and recommendations for driving a fully loaded car

Car label Seat summarized some tips for winter holidays and storing skiers or snowboards inclusively the necessary gear like ski boots. Calculations such as that incorrectly fastened 5 kg of one pair of skis turn in a collision into 150 kg at 50 km/h are the basis for the recommendations which reach from inside storage to a roof box.

fig.:  “If you choose a roof mounted rack, the tips of the skis should point to the rear”, explains race car driver, driving expert and skiing enthusiast Jordi Gené who appears also at the videos.

The tips are accompanied by hints like to check the tyre pressure of the fully loaded car or to keep in mind that the additional weight slows down braking time. "... so maintain a more than adequate safety distance,” knows the car specialist.

The information ends with a clothing tip: "...don't wear your coat while driving as this restricts your freedom of movement to be able to react easily in any situation."
