Vienna Insight: H&M Group's store chain 'Monki' opened first shop in Vienna

...yesterday on 19 October with an opening celebration which started at 19:00 in the evening. The invited guests stood in an around 100 meters line and waited in rainy, cold weather to enter the new shopping hotspot at Mariahilfer Strasse. (Fashionoffice announced the opening with closer look at the style of Monki fashion already in June.) The information about the new Monki store was spread like wildfire via social (such as Instagram @monki) and editorial media like daily newspapers. The store opening was until yet one of the top fashion events in October in Vienna and is continued today by a special discount of 20% on all items from jeans to shoes or home accessories for customers who smile at the checkout; Monki calls it the 'Smile Discount'.
