Dandy Diary publishers and Berlin Fashion Week party hosts organize opening of 'Crown Club' at 'Basquiat. Boom for Real' exhibition at Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt

The exhibition about US street artist, painter, poet, musician,... Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960–1988) 'Basquiat. Boom for Real' will open on 15 February at Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt (on view from 16 February until 27 May). The exhibition preview with introduction into the approach of the curators who throw light on Basquiat's work by showing his relationship to film, television, music,... is accompanied by two articles published at the Schirn Mag - one is about the street art by Basquiat (late 70s, New York) and Banksy (who started in London). It's announced that an online 'Digitorial' as educational service will be published (in German, English) for the exhibition at Schirn.

Every Thursday, Schirn invites visitors of the exhibition to the 'Crown Club' which pays homage to the New York underground club scene of the 70s, 80s. The Crown Club is inspired by New York's Mudd Club where the art, music, design scene met. The opening of the club on 22 February will be organized by the publishers of one of Germany's most important men's fashion and lifestyle blogs 'Dandy Diary', David Roth and Carl Jakob Haupt. Dandy Diary is also known for hosting parties at fashion weeks - such as today's Berlin Fashion Week Opening Party.
