Portraits by Xiomara Bender exhibited for Ethiopian weaver/loom charity at 'Drive' Volkswagen space in Berlin

Many of the portraits showing Ethiopian weavers with their families, as couples or single persons are marked as already sold at the page of the project 'Get art. Give work.' of the charity website of the photography, social activist initiative 'PortrAid'. For PortrAid, photographers act like world traveling reporters with the aim to make aware of people's circumstances and collect money via photo art. Volkswagen Group opened the exhibition space 'Drive' in Berlin for the portrait-series photographed by Xiomara Bender. The video below shows Xiomara Bender while capturing the weavers with big scarves around their shoulders. With the purchase of the portraits, new looms for the weavers will be funded.
