Preview men's wear 2012/13

Already at the end of 2011, men's and sports wear labels present previews to the new collections for autumn/winter 2012/13.

'Timeline' is a trend in fashion such as seen at the French label Pierre Cardin which incorporates the brand's history into the lining: the 'history'-lining of the jeans pockets carry descriptions of the milestones of designer Pierre Cardin; quasi a 'Timelining'.

Early milestones selected by Fashionoffice: Pierre Cardin was born in Italy in 1922 and moved with his parents in 1924 to France to escape Fascism. Before he founded his own label in 1950, he worked for Elsa Schiaparelli and Christian Dior. Pierre Cardin was the first designer who moved from Haute Couture into Ready-To-Wear; first with the men's and later in the same year (1959) with women's wear.
