Design-investigation and culture-walking courses about food and #culinary in #France and #Italy

The New York-based School of Visual Arts organizes each year international culture programs for students and professionals to learn more about 'Arts Abroad'. This summer, two of the 'Arts Abroad' courses are dedicated to food design and culinary arts in France and Italy.

From 7 to 14 June 2013, the course 'Exploring the Culinary Arts on the Italian Riviera' invites to the culture-walking program through Liguria to find out more about the region's culture, art and architecture - by walking. Main focus of the course is the discovery of the art of Italian culinary and its origin which is founded by the region's landscape. Additionally, the members will chronicle their Riviera-experiences with photos and text.

The 'Food Design in France' course from 6 until 13 July will take place in the Champagne at the kitchens of L'Ecole Supérieure d'Art et de Design de Reims (L'ESAD). It is announced that the esthetics and the ethical, historical, political implications of food design will be investigated.
