End-19th century Art Nouveau designs by Koloman Moser for 'Magic Kiss' jewelry by Dorotheum and Austrian Mint

On occasion of 'Viennese Modernism Year 2018', several art works, exhibitions, designs were already developed as tribute to the artists of the Wiener Moderne (Viennese Modernism) such as Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, or Koloman Moser. Gustav Klimt's designs for the dining room of Stoclet Palace in Brussels was transformed by Austro-British filmmaker Frederick Baker into the virtual reality experience 'Klimt's Magic Garden' at MAK Vienna; Egon Schiele inspired for example Russian design duo Smog for the 'Schiele Brooch' which was presented in time with the 'Egon Schiele. The Jubilee Show RELOADED' at Leopold Museum; and some of Koloman Moser's motifs were woven for the first time in wool-silk by fabric manufacturer Backhausen for the collection 'Arthur Arbesser X Vienna' which was shown at Milan Fashion Week and during Paris Fashion Week this year.

Yesterday on 6 November, Dorotheum Juwelier and Münze Österreich (Austrian Mint) launched the gold and silver collection 'Wachgeküsst Jugendstil' (Magic Kiss Art Nouveau) of earrings, bracelets, necklaces, pendants with two designs by Koloman Moser (co-founder of Wiener Werkstätte).
