Evening dresses seen at the currently running MQ Vienna Fashion Week (until 15 September)

At MQVFW (MQ Vienna Fashion Week), a wide range of styles and even the re-styling of already worn clothes provide a glimpse of where fashion trends point. The catwalk series ends with the closing show traditionally curated by model and event agency owner Mario Soldo; this year, the first part is named 'The Black Show' outfitted with second hand clothing from the stores of the NGO 'Humana People to People'.

Fashion.at selected some images from the MQVFW press server under the aspect 'Evening dresses for more than one season' from the first three show days, the 10th, 11th and 12th September.

Image below, left: The label 'More To See' by Jessica Febiani was presented on 10 September by the Embassy of Indonesia at the runway in Vienna. The designer developed classical fashion by setting the country's traditional textile technologies batik and ikat weaving in context with contemporary lifestyle.

Image below, right: At the Thai Fashion Night (presented by DITP - Department of International Trade Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, Office of Commercial Affairs Royal Thai Embassy Vienna) on 12 September, designers from Thailand and Austria collaborated for the catwalk. 'At The Ballet' was the title of the presentation of Wisharawish (Thailand) and Vienna-based Sabine Karner. The image shows a dress by Sabine Karner made from Thai silk.

The following two dresses were on show on 11th September. The colorful long dress - on view below left, is from the latest collection by Romanian designer Smaranda Almásan. The image right shows a light-weight wide yellow-gold creation with silver shoulder covering cape-hoodie by Austro-Hungarian in Vienna based designer Edith Agay.
