Slow fashion brand Weber+Weber provides previews of what will be on show at Pitti Immagine Uomo (8 - 11 Jan)

The new year starts with events focusing on men's wear. One of the international events is Pitti Immagine Uomo from 8 to 11 January in Florence, Italy. The 95th edition of the tradeshow is strongly dedicated to urban experiences including eco-friendly, active living (video) under this season's theme 'Are You “In” or “Out” of the Box?' referencing the box installations where innovations and new ideas are presented and can be shared. Sportswear International lists among others special Pitti Uomo projects 'The Time Is Now!' in collaboration with Greenpeace and designers for the creation of men's wear.

One of the exhibitors at the Padiglione Centrale of Pitti Uomo (FB event) is the Austrian-Italian slow fashion label Weber+Weber which sent a preview of items on show in Florence. The first views came as fashion journal Fall/Winter 2019/20 with information in English, German, Italian language about one of the main materials felted wool used in the Dolomite Alps and the Tyrol region since the Middle Ages and further developed through the centuries, as well as the brand's manifesto with declarations concerning themes like a changed behaviour of producers and consumers "We strive to redefine the relationship of fashion and clothing by exclusively creating long-lasting pieces."
