Rebekka Ruétz' '"placID" inspired by Zillertal' collection is a visual statement of what's today's fashion worldwide: Looking closer at the beauty of nature around the own place of living

Today, the details of the announced 3rd lockdown were made public in Austria. The currently applying 'lockdown light' regulation with curfew from 20:00 until 6:00 in the morning, open stores and museums but closed hotels and gastronomy will be replaced from 26 December by the next, the 3rd 'hard lockdown' with 24-hours curfew and closed stores, museums, schools,... The hard lockdown will last until 18 January for the ones who made a test; mass testings are announced to happen on 16 and 17 January. For the ones without a test, the lockdown ends one week later on 24 January. An exception is that ski regions are allowed to open from 24 December.

The only highlight seems to be that it's allowed and possible (keyword: cable cars) to make winter sports in the mountains even when the activities are due to closed hotels or any other accommodation service in general only accessible for people who are living not too far away from the slopes.

In the context of the current situation, the upcoming collection '"placID" inspired by Zillertal' by Tyrolean designer Rebekka Ruétz may appear like a visual statement of what's today's fashion: Looking closer at the beauty of nature around one's own place of living. Rebekka Ruétz incorporated fabrics with prints of images by Zillertal-based photographer Tom Klocker showing motifs such as a lake at the mountainous area. The importance of the 'regional' has grown in 2020 necessarily. For the shooting of the new '"placID" inspired by Zillertal' ready-to-wear by Rebekka Ruétz collection, the Zillertaler mountains were chosen as a stage. Part of the upcoming 'placID' collection is 'Rebekka Ruétz x Zillertal Tourism' couture made from used tourism banners for the recreation- and ski-region.
