10 February 2020 The Bozen headquartered South-Tyrolean label Luis Trenker is named after mountaineer and film director, actor Luis Trenker (1892 - 1990, bio) who became internationally known for movies playing in the mountains. The fashion line follows the same storyline and pays homage to lifestyle in alpine regions with items such as this season with knickerbockers in bright colors grass-green, sun-yellow, poppy-red and lake-blue. (The etymology of the English word 'knickerbockers', which is even used in German language for knee-length trousers such as worn by mountaineers, can be found on Wikipedia). Images: The pictures show grass-green knickerbockers 'Lieselotte' with matching jacket and the 'Bianka' shirt-dress with mountain print from the Luis Trenker Spring/Summer 2020 campaign. At both images on view, the waist and shoulder bag 'Renee'. |
