Tip on the 8th day of 'hard lockdown' in Austria: #SupportTheLocals on digital Christmas shopping tours

Day 8th of the hard lockdown in Austria. It's Tuesday but feels like a crushed Sunday/Monday. Time floats between the typical everything closed Sunday atmosphere with the Monday thrill of starting into a long, seemingly endless week. The days are structured by counting to the end of the 2nd lockdown and planning the future with concepts how to prevent the 3rd. Normally in late November, people enjoy Christmas shopping tours and meetings with friends at winter markets. This year, the tours happen in many cases digitally at online shops which are open 24/7 hours the week - because they can't provide the special experience of an interpersonal, physical encounter with others.

One of the Austrian shops which are ready for the Christmas business and provide a more personal experience is Vienna-based 'Monir Jewellery', owned by Monir Kienzl. Monir teamed up once again with award-winning Austrian actress Ursula Strauss who is known for playing strong women and in the most cases likeable characters in successful movies and TV productions; she is one of the country's most requested actresses.
