Boutique video-tour through the Mode Wien pop-up store at 'Art Up' in Vienna

Mode Wien, the official organization of the Vienna State Guild of Fashion and Clothing Technology (Landesinnung Wien der Mode und Bekleidungstechnik), runs a pop-up boutique at the fashion store 'Art Up' in the city of Vienna. One of the labels which are shown at Art Up is the eponymous brand of designer and artist Patricia Vincent (born in Romania with Ukrainian and Nigerian roots). The designer has lived since 2002 in Vienna and opened her own atelier in 2006. Additionally to her creative work, she publishes insights into Vienna such as the following video from the 'Seams and Chronicles' series. For the series' latest episode 'The Fashion Makers', she visited the fashion store Art Up at Bauernmarkt 8 in the 1st district of Vienna for a tour through the 'Mode Wien' pop-up store with collection pieces by around 40 design labels and couturiers. The Mode Wien pop-up reopened after the lockdown on 13 December and can be visited until 31 December 2021.

The boutique tour starts with an interview with Art Up founder Linda Zlok who speaks about the start of the 'Art Up' project in 2003, the growing of the shop range from 15 designers in 2005 to 35 designers in 2006 and in the following years up to around 70 designers with changing exhibitions of national and international designers. The video's street view scenes such as a short city walk along the place in front of St. Stephen's Cathedral and impressions of the Art Nouveau treasure Anker Clock make it easier for non-Viennese or city-newbies to locate the store in the heart of Vienna.

The selection of pieces from the range of homewear to day dresses, winter coats and jackets, artful casual clothing, to evening- and cocktail dresses, jewelry, bags and headwear are shown by Patricia Vincent together with hat couture, clothing and accessories designer Alwa Petroni. The styles of the Mode Wien items are as different as the designers. The one of a kind leather-feather collar is from the Tyrolean label Herzblut, unique everyday wear pieces are handmade at the Viennese atelier Pollsiri, the comfortable one-size tops with exotic prints are designed by Artista from Budapest,...
