Fashion.at autumn 'gorpcore' style tip with items from new collections for walks in metropolitan terrain

In the first two weeks of September 2021, people in Vienna enjoy the late summer sun sitting in cafés and restaurants outdoors. In the late afternoon and evening, warming autumn jackets or pullovers are in fashion again. Fashion.at collected some pieces, including a new scent for the metropolitan flair, with the colder hours and the ongoing respectively upcoming fashion weeks (MQ Vienna Fashion Week 13 - 18 September, article) in climate zones similar to Vienna in mind.

Let's start with the new fragrance 'My New York' by Bond No. 9. The unisex perfume is an hommage to the metropole New York City where the whole world meets. The brand was founded by Laurice Rahmé in the time of hope and togetherness after 9/11 as tribute to the beauty of the city and the citizens' lived cosmopolitanism and inclusiveness. The flags on the flacon symbolize the solidarity of countries of the world for conquering the latest challenge, the pandemic. 'My New York' composed by perfumer Michel Almairac was launched in September 2021. The list of ingredients (ginger, pepper, rose,...) and details about the inspirations behind the new scent and bottle are published with a video on www.bondno9.com.

The padded cape is from the H&M Autumn/Winter 2021 collection of sporty items made of eco-friendly and functional fabrics (focus on eco-responsible materials like Lenzing's ECOVERO™ or recycled polyester such as for water repellent clothes). AW21 was presented with reference to 'gorpcore' (derived from the acronym for the 'Good Ol' Raisins and Peanuts'-mix walkers eat on their trails) and the trending outdoor lifestyle. The collection will be available from 16 September in stores and hm.com.

The 'Vintage Merinos Oversweater' in burnt orange is from the new Autumn/Winter 2021/22 by Vienna-based design label Weber + Weber (seen at weberweber.it). Photo: © Theresa Bentz.

The padded tote is from the shopper and laptop sleeves bag line 'Made In Vienna' by designer Julia Skergeth. On this page, the shopper bag in olive is on view. It's made from 100% polyester and is washable (seen at juliaskergeth.com).

The jeans are from the ten-piece 'H&M Recycled Denim Collection' consisting of two models of jeans - baggy and loose straight, a trucker jacket,... in a loose cut inspired by the 90ies. The collection made from 100% recycled fabrics and partly of recycled zippers and trims is available from 9 September (selected pieces in stores and the whole range at hm.com).
