Ludwig Reiter presented Autumn/Winter shoes and bags collection with booklet for providing glimpses into the development of designs from Austrian crafts & design archives

The Austrian shoes, bags, accessories brand Ludwig Reiter presented the new lookbook in the form of a booklet with insights into the history of the company (founded 1885) and the design of the season's key pieces such as the 'Franz Schulz' bag which carries the name of the Viennese craftsman Franz Schulz who designed the bag in the 1950s. When Franz Schulz retired, Ludwig Reiter continued the business of the master craftsman in the year 2000 and developed the design over the years further. In Autumn/Winter 2022, the Scotch grain leather bag appears for the first time in dark green. The Ludwig Reiter store at the former shop of Franz Schulz at the Führichgasse 6 in the 1st district of Vienna hasn't changed like the bag its style in the basics.

Locations are a topic in the new booklet with fashion images shot at the company's manufactory at the mansion Gut Süßenbrunn which dates back to the 16th century and has been renovated over the years. The red thread of the booklet is spon around re-creation - if it's the manufacturing of an old crafts item with new techniques and in new colors, the careful renovation of old locations or the reinterpretation of proven qualities and designs such as the Ludwig Reiter 'Trainer' in the season color dark green. The design of the sporty shoe is based on the sports shoes worn by the Austrian army in the 1970s. In the 1980s, Helmut Lang developed from the army training shoe together with Ludwig Reiter a sneaker lined with leather. Since then, the 'Trainer' with the trademarks original BW Sport sole and functional U-stripes that have been unchanged for 50 years is one of the brand's signature pieces with a fan community around the world.
