Andreas Eberharter, founder of the jewelry label 'AND_i', created pieces of jewelry for the winners of the Miss Austria and Mister Austria titles

Mission Austria, the organization behind the Miss Austria and Mister Austria titles, has strong ties to the country's fashion industry. Two years ago, the reigning titleholders presented fashion to support local designers (article). This year, a renowned jewelry designer is collaborating on the Miss Austria crown and the design of the first ever jewelry piece for Mister Austria, a bracelet. 10 finalists will compete in front of a jury with members such as music producer, singer, songwriter Lucas Fendrich or MQ Vienna Fashion Week organizer Elvyra Geyer. Brand new is the information that Andreas Eberharter, the artist behind the 'AND_i' label, has collaborated with Mission Austria to design the reinterpretation of the crown and create the new bracelet. Andreas Eberharter works in between art and fashion. The trained goldsmith and sculptor has gained professional experience with artists such as Eva Schlegel and designed jewelry and accessories such as the eye patch worn by Lady Gaga in her video 'Paparazzi'. His label AND_i won the Vienna Fashion Award in 2010 and in 2012 (biography). For Mission Austria, Andreas Eberharter developed designs made of brass and adorned with a 14-carat gold plating. Swarovski crystals and cubic zirconia are the finishing touches. The final designs have not yet been unveiled.
