Free-diving champion Lidija Lijic and watchmaker Maurice Lacroix presented new watch at aqua terra zoo 'Haus des Meeres' in Vienna

Yesterday, Fashion.at was invited to the presentation of the Pontos S Diver watch by Swiss watchmaker Maurice Lacroix at the aqua terra zoo 'Haus des Meeres' in Vienna. Special guest was the architect, pilot, climber and free-diving champion Lidija Lijic (b. 1981 in Split, Croatia) who is the face of the campaign for the new watch. The launch took place before the Vienna press conference in Dubrovnik, Croatia several days ago in May (video). In Vienna, the guests had the opportunity to take a guided tour through the aqua terra zoo, followed by a presentation of the watch in one of the aquariums with sharks on the 10th floor. The diver - one of the zoo's employees, patiently presented the latest design of the Pontos S Diver to an audience of journalists, influencers, photographers and watch industry experts for photos and video shoots.

At the press conference that followed, Stéphane Waser, Managing Director of Maurice Lacroix, introduced the new watch by looking back at the origins of the design. The first generation of the Pontos S Diver was launched in 2013. Now, the watch's design has been completely reworked and optimized in collaboration with Lidija Lijic, who contributed her expertise in water sports. Stéphane Waser and Lidija Lijic talked about the free-diver's lifestyle, her successes and failures in the sport, her training routines and the changing conditions in which she dives, from warm seawater to icy depths. Lidija Lijic also talked about her records, including the Guinness World Record for the highest dive in the world, at 4,130 meters in the Himalayas.
