Berlin-based designer Marcel Ostertag presents 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' SS24 and 'Discoteca' AW23 at the MQ Vienna Fashion Week on 13 September

One of the highlights of the MQ Vienna Fashion Week is the show of Berlin-based designer Marcel Ostertag, who is known to a wider audience through his appearances as a judge on Germany's Next Topmodel on German TV or his collaborations such as with the shoe brand Tamaris. The designer studied at the Central St. Martins College in London before founding his own label in 2006 in Munich, Germany. In the beginning, the label also had a store in Vienna, which was closed a few years later. The strong connection to the Austrian capital dates back to his teenage years, when he learned ballet at the Vienna State Opera. In 2016, Marcel Ostertag moved his headquarters from Munich to Berlin.

The new Spring/Summer 2024 collection with the title 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' was shown already at the recent Berlin Fashion Week. It is communicated as a message of positivity and sustainability. Marcel Ostertag's collection revolves around the concept of the rainbow, symbolizing a bridge between reality and dreams. Now on 13 September at the MQ Vienna Fashion Week it will be presented together with the current AW23 collection 'Discoteca', as announced on mqvfw.com/designer/marcel-ostertag/ with the words "Just let go, forget all your worries, dance, laugh exuberantly or even indulge in excess. Discoteca – an unforgettable night. We can't wait to celebrate the collection with you on the runway."
