Austrian designer Rebekka Ruétz collaborated with Hanro for the 'I AM' show at the Berlin Fashion Week

The Berlin Fashion Week took place this week from February 5th to 8th. Among the designers that showed their new Fall/Winter 2024 collections was once again the Austrian label 'rebekka ruétz' by the Innsbruck, Tyrol based designer Rebekka Ruétz, who is known for her collaborations with companies such as with the Austrian lingerie brand Hanro, which celebrated its 140th anniversary at the Berlin Fashion Week. In the 'I AM' show, lingerie becomes an integral part of the collection, as does the sneaker material provided by another collaboration partner, Skechers. The designer recycled the leftover shoes as a corsage and paired it with lace pieces on the runway. Insight into the combinations is provided by the recently released fashion film 'I AM' on Youtube, featuring making-of scenes and an introduction by the designer herself to the collection entitled 'I AM the spirit within'. The contrasting materials such as lace and leather represent the opposites, the contradictions that make the human spirit human.
