Blickfang Vienna featured some of the highlights of the upcoming international design fair, including jewelry label Birdy & Bee and furniture company Neuvermöbelt from Austria
The design fair Blickfang, which travels to German, Swiss and Austrian cities, will be held in Vienna for the 21st time in 2024. The annual fair will take place from November 8 to 10. In its latest press release, Blickfang provides a first glimpse of what visitors can expect. It's announced that around 150 labels will take part in the three-day event. Among the presented highlights of Blickfang Vienna 2024 are fashion made of GOTS-certified fabrics, jewelry made of bioplastic and furniture from recycled and ecological materials.
Among the selected labels, Blickfang introduced the German fashion label 'Studio Turan' by designer Mehtap Turan, who produces clothes from certified fabrics at local manufacturers with a focus on ethical production practices. Fashion-to-order is one of the label's strategies to reduce overproduction.
Two of the featured design labels participating in the international fair in Vienna are from Austria, the jewelry label 'Birdy & Bee' from Tulln, Lower Austria, and the Vienna-based sustainable furniture company 'Neuvermöbelt'.
Birdy & Bee describes the main material - 100% biodegradable bioplastic - of their gold jewelry on https://birdyandbee.at/pages/nachhaltigkeit. The label emphasizes local production and fair working conditions, demonstrating its commitment to social responsibility.
The name of the Viennese furniture company 'Neuvermöbelt' says it all. Neuvermöbelt means newly furnished and refers to the idea of reusing resources - recycled materials, upcycling - and producing durable furniture locally under fair working conditions, as explained on https://tinykitchen.neuvermoebelt.com/about-us-2/whats-important-to-us/. In particular, Blickfang presented the 'Tiny Kitchen', a space-saving modular kitchen system.
