Classics that meet the slow fashion trend. Shoe and bag manufacturer Ludwig Reiter presented the styling trends for fall/winter with friends of the brand.

The next of the numerous summer heatwaves of 2024 is rolling over Vienna - or rather, it seems to be sticking to the city for the past few days with tropical nights. It's supposed to continue for the next week. Vienna has never had a summer with such long periods of heat since measurements began. Except for the temperature, the fall season is not so far away. The latest trends are already out, and one trend is dominating the fashion pages: classics that meet the slow fashion trend are on top. The casually elegant styling of classics is at the heart of the trend. Quality that lasts, styles and colors that don't advertise their own expiration date are not only a relaxing calming of the agitated fashion world, but also an expression of turning to more important things in our world with new challenges - and also opportunities.

Fashion.at reviewed the latest press releases from the Austrian fashion industry. The shoe and leather goods manufacturer Ludwig Reiter is one of the Austrian companies that produce their goods in the country, following high standards in the production process and fair working conditions. About 60 employees produce about 30,000 pairs of shoes per year. The company operates 13 stores in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. In addition, the company's products are sold in around 200 specialist shops and boutiques in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, Japan and the USA.

This week, Ludwig Reiter released the press information for the new campaign for the Autumn/Winter 2024 collection of shoes and bags for women and men in classic designs, often referencing models from the late 19th/early 20th century in new interpretations. The protagonists of the campaign are friends of the brand, such as Ivica Brnic, professor of architecture at the Vienna University of Technology 'TU Wien', and British interior designer Chloe Vestey.

Highlights for men include the Gröbminger Boot, named after the municipality of Gröbming in the Hallstatt-Dachstein region in the Salzkammergut, with an all-weather sole, and the Chukka Boot, which is designed for both elegance and durability. For women, the collection includes the shimmering burgundy leather penny loafers and Mary Vetsera ankle boots, as well as the versatile Fanny lace-up ankle boots in maroon, the Philadelphia handbag or, as pictured on this page, the Colportage bag, which - not only because of its name - is one of Fashion.at's favorites.
