There is no other time of the year that offers such a good stage for the Austrian traditional clothing, the Tracht, as autumn. Both the weather with its pleasant temperatures, where the sun warms without heating and the wind plays gently with the colorful leaves, as well as the nature-related harvest festivals are perfect for wearing trachten or outfits that refer to the traditional clothing that originated in the 15th century in the rural Alpine areas of Central Europe, including regions such as Bavaria in Germany and South Tyrol in Italy. The folk costume 'Tracht' reflects the life and work of farmers and foresters in the landscape of these mountainous and forested regions. There are everyday costumes as well as festive versions. Autumn is full of festivities such as the 'Kirtag' with a market in front of a church, the harvest festivals or the beer festival Oktoberfest. The pieces are traditionally made from natural materials, mostly from the region, such as linen, wool, leather for trousers and belts, or horn for buttons. The use of materials from nature and the representation of nature as part of the look is a popular tradition in Austria. Just in time for the beginning of autumn, which started in Austria on September 22nd, jeweler A.E. Köchert - known for creating jewelry for Europe's biggest star of the 19th century, Empress 'Sisi' as K&K Purveyor to the Imperial Court of Austria (details about the Sisi Stars at https://koechert.com/sisi-stars/?lang=en) - presented the 'Hunting Collection', which combines rustic closeness to nature with noble elegance. At https://koechert.com/huntingjewellery/?lang=en it is announced that the so-called 'Grandln', term for the rare eye teeth of deer or stags, can be brought to Köchert, where new creations will be made in a mix with gold and precious stones.
