Mission Austria cooperates with fashion school Michelbeuern for Miss Austria and Mister Austria contest

Today Fashion.at was invited to the presentation of the outfits of the Austrian Olympic team for Paris. But as the unexpected usually happens at the most inconvenient times, the call to resolve an urgent administrative matter arrived today by post - snail mail, actually. The letter was sent more than a week ago and the deadline was in two working days. When you get such a letter, you can start your sprint! So, unfortunately, it was not possible to attend the interesting presentation of outfits for Paris. Fashion.at can only wait for the official press material and keep an eye on https://www.instagram.com/olympic_team_austria/.

But there is another 'Mission Austria' in the truest sense of the word that is currently underway in the country's fashion industry. The news that the fashion school Michelbeuern and 'Mission Austria', the organizers of the Miss Austria and Mister Austria contest, have joined forces, arrived in the digital mailbox of Fashion.at yesterday. It's been announced that the finalists - five women and five men - will be dressed in custom-made outfits in the style of the 1990s by students of the College of Fashion (https://www.hlmw9.at/mode/modekolleg). The date and location of the runway presentation as part of the 95th Miss and Mister Austria pageant have also been set: September 11 at the upcoming Vienna Fashion Week.

Under the theme 'Back to the 1990s,' the young designers are tasked with creating unique ensembles inspired by the fashion, culture and lifestyle of the decade. In the press release, Mission Austria provided insights into the design process, which began with researching the event, past winners, and the fashion, culture, and lifestyle of the 1990s - from Helmut Lang to Prince and Kurt Cobain. The information was sent out with a note to stay tuned for more updates on the partnership at www.mission-austria.at, where you can also currently submit your application for the Miss and Mister Austria contest.
