![]() Athletes of the Olympic and Paralympic Team Austria unveiled the official outfits for Paris 2024 in a fashion presentation at Vienna's MQ Libelle yesterday. The collection, comprising 60 pieces from eight outfitters and valued at €4,300, combines the functionality of performance wear with sustainability requirements for pieces in the team's signature colors of red-white-red, referencing the colors of the Austrian flag. For the Opening Ceremony, the athletes will appear in a contemporary interpretation of the Austrian national costume, the Tracht. One of the centerpieces of the performance and leisure wear provided by Erima, the Austrian Team Partner since 2010, is e.g. a shirt made from sustainable merino-bamboo blend. At the opening ceremony, the Olympic Team Austria will wear sporty leather skirts and leather trousers from Adelsberger and matching linen shirts and linen gilets. Michaela Polleres (judo), Natalija Eder (para-athletics), Victoria Hudson (athletics), Magdalena Lobnig (rowing), Anna-Maria and Eirini Marina Alexandri (synchronized swimming), Andreas Onea (para-swimming), Valentin Bontus (sailing), Tim Wafler (cycling) and Thomas Frühwirth (paracycling) presented the looks for Paris in a one-hour show. Erima's sustainable training, sports and leisure apparel from the company's 'Change' collection accounts for 41 of the 60 items. In addition, Erima makes the team travel-fit with suitcases and backpacks. Salomon will supply all team members with the recyclable 'Index.03' running shoe, a trail running shoe and the classic 'Reelax Brake 6.0' flip-flop. The sporty, elegant formal wear, including a goatskin skirt and pants for the opening ceremony, is coming from Adelsberger. Each athlete will receive two styles of glasses, sports and lifestyle, from Athletes Eyewear. Other partners include Procter & Gamble for hygiene and body care products, Peeroton for sports nutrition, Neuroth for custom-fitting hearing protection and Hagleitner for hand sanitizer. The joint presentation of the Austrian teams at the Olympic and Paralympic Games since Beijing 2008 symbolizes more than just fashion - it stands for inclusion in sports, as ÖPC (Austrian Paralympic Committee) President Maria Rauch-Kallat emphasized. The Austrian teams at the Olympic and Paralympic Games have been presenting their equipment together since Beijing 2008. It's announced that the official outfitting events for the entire team are scheduled for July 2024.
