Shoe Trend. The new Ludwig Reiter women's collection for Spring/Summer 2024 features classic styles such as gardener boots and hybrid low-shoe sandals in chili red.
This week, Austrian shoe and bag manufacturer Ludwig Reiter launched its Spring/Summer 2024 collection, featuring classic styles in eye-catching colors such as the gardener's boot, the 'Klimt' hybrid low shoe-sandal, a nod to the style of Gustav Klimt and Emilie Flöge, and the brand's signature sneaker in chili. Ludwig Reiter is known for references to art and classical music, such as the recent making-of video for the 'Theresia' bag, which featured the musical piece 'Sicilienne' composed by Maria Theresia Paradis, a contemporary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This year's trend color, red, is introduced with a quote from the German poet and thinker Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, specifically one of the paragraphs on the color red from his 'Theory of Colors', published in 1810. The book covers various aspects such as the psychological effects of colors, the physical color spectrum, or how colors are made. In the quoted paragraph, Goethe emphasized the timelessness of the color red, which suits young and old.
