2 August 2025 ![]() A Curated Celebration of Contemporary DesignSince its founding over three decades ago, Blickfang has established itself as one of Europe's most respected design fairs. The Vienna edition, now in its 22nd year, will once again transform the MAK – Museum of Applied Arts into a lively showroom for hand-picked furniture, fashion, and jewelry labels from across the continent. From November 7 to 9, 2025, around 150 independent design brands will present their latest creations. The fair places emphasis not just on aesthetics, but also on sustainable practices, personal stories, and craftsmanship. Products can be seen, touched, discussed – and bought directly from the designers. Preview with Focus on Fashion & JewelryIn its first preview, Blickfang spotlights, among other design companies, three fashion and jewelry labels that bridge the gap between design, art, and sustainability:• Ferrari Zöchling (Austria): Designer Romana Zöchling creates collections in collaboration with artists, resulting in garments that carry visible traces of dialogue. Her expressive silhouettes balance confidence and informality, blending fashion with artistic storytelling. • Lea Lahr (Germany): With her "Counterform" method, Lea Theres Lahr-Thiele reclaims decades-old fabric archives and uses laser technology to work with both positive and negative forms. The outcome is zero-waste fashion that transforms textile leftovers into sculptural surfaces—design with a future-facing message. • Denisa Piatti (USA): The Washington, DC-based jewelry designer questions notions of value by mixing precious metals with textiles, acrylics, and found objects. Her handcrafted pieces read like visual essays—portable reflections rather than mere accessories. These labels reflect Blickfang's broader ethos: design that invites reflection and offers alternatives to the fast-paced world of mass production. A Weekend for Conscious Design EnthusiastsWith exhibitors spanning fields from furniture to ceramics to wearable art, Blickfang Vienna is designed for an audience that values substance over spectacle. The MAK's central location and the fair's open format encourage conversation between creators and visitors.Fashion.at is already looking forward to navigating the new ideas and bold aesthetics on display at Blickfang Vienna 2025 – a place where design is not just seen, but understood.
