A New Chapter in Vienna's Jewelry Culture

It's not unusual these days to find Vienna's fine jewelry stores discreetly closed, only opening their doors after the chime of a doorbell. Yet K&K Jewels takes exclusivity to a new level — their boutique near the Kohlmarkt is accessible only by appointment. And for Fashion.at, the name was a revelation when the brand's latest campaign landed in our mailbox this morning.

Sisters Behind the Sparkle: Nathalie and Deborah Kohn

K&K Jewels is far from a newcomer — the business is a continuation of the traditional Viennese jeweler established by Erich Kohn, a legend in the city's jewelry landscape. But the recent chapter of the house, under the name K&K Jewels, marks a significant reinvention. At its helm are sisters Nathalie and Deborah Kohn, who took over their father's business in 2017 and rebranded it after a creative detour under the label N27. What makes their story particularly intriguing is their journey into the world of high jewelry from entirely different fields: Nathalie Kohn was previously a co-founder of a well-known digital agency and later an international HR executive; Deborah Kohn brings expertise in business design and innovation. Their shared passion for refined aesthetics and meaningful craftsmanship now fuels K&K Jewels.

Zest for Life: A Campaign That Radiates Emotion

Despite being a true Geheimtipp, even escaping Fashion.at's radar until now, K&K Jewels radiates with a modern spirit. That energy is powerfully present in the label's Spring/Summer 2025 campaign, a vivid collaboration with Austrian pastry chef and cake designer Lisa Dokuvich, founder of Gingerlicious. Dokuvich, who has twice placed among Austria's top wedding cake designers, not only stars as the model but also created the whimsical cakes and cake pops that enrich the set with edible flair.

The visuals were shot by Markus Morianz, a seasoned Viennese photographer whose name is familiar to those following fashion editorials and LGBTQ+ culture. Known for his contributions to the iconic Life Ball Style Bible, as well as exhibitions such as Mannsbilder at Galerie Soldo during Vienna Pride, Morianz lends a refined yet unpretentious vibrancy to the campaign.

In front of Morianz's lens and surrounded by Dokuvich's sugary creations, the jewelry speaks for itself — both the in-house collection and select pieces by Piranesi, the renowned multi-generational Italian brand with locations in New York, Aspen, Milan and St. Moritz. Since summer 2024, Piranesi has been available exclusively in Austria through K&K Jewels. Their couture-level designs are distinguished by lush stones and antique inspirations, a perfect match for the Kohn sisters' vision.

Yet it's the own collection of K&K Jewels that truly steals the scene: haute joaillerie classics reinterpreted with freshness and joie de vivre. Think brooches blooming like flowers caught in a soft breeze, or rings glistening with an array of colorful gemstones — each piece designed to reflect personality and evoke emotion.
