3 December 2025  The Austrian Fashion Association (AFA) is a publicly supported organisation that promotes contemporary Austrian fashion design. It distributes major national fashion awards, including the Fashion Award of the City of Vienna and the Outstanding Artist Award for Experimental Fashion Design. With funding from the Austrian government and the City of Vienna, AFA provides information, mentoring, international networking, and updates on competitions and industry opportunities. These updates are sent out regularly in the form of a newsletter. The latest edition included an open call for the LVMH Prize 2026. Petar Petrov Sample Sale> 4 - 5 DecemberThe most recent newsletter also announces seasonal highlights: one of them is the Petar Petrov X-Mas Sample Sale, taking place on 4 and 5 December 2025, from 12:00 to 20:00, at Lichterloh, Gumpendorfer Strasse 15–17, 1060 Vienna. Petar Petrov, who received the Outstanding Artist Award in 2021, is known for refined silhouettes, fluid materials and precise tailoring. The designer, active internationally but based in Vienna, offers selected ready-to-wear and shoes at reduced prices.Winter Pop-Up by Rani Bageria, Miranda Matondo and Daniel Stuhlpfarrer> 4 - 6 DecemberAnother event begins on the same weekend: a three-day winter pop-up featuring shoe designer Rani Bageria, fashion label Miranda Matondo, and ceramic artist Daniel Stuhlpfarrer. Rani Bageria has been supported through AFA's talent programmes, while Miranda Matondo is a recipient of the AFA Startstipendium Mode 2025 from the Federal Ministry for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sports. The pop-up will run 4–6 December 2025 at Zieglergasse 88–90, 1070 Vienna. Opening day includes free winter wine from 16:00 to 21:00; on 5 and 6 December the shop is open 11:00 to 19:00.Christmas Craze: Girl Gang Vienna Pop-Up> 8 - 20 DecemberAFA's third Christmas shopping recommendation focuses on Support Your Local Girl Gang Vienna (SYLGV), a collective promoting women-founded labels. Their pop-up "Christmas Craze" takes place 8–20 December 2025 at Gumpendorfer Strasse 23, 1060 Vienna (Mon–Fri 11:00–19:00; Sat 11:00–18:00). A late-night opening with snacks and drinks is scheduled for 11 December, until 21:00. Among the many participating labels are three well-known Vienna-based brands: Ferrari Zöchling – a fashion label founded by Romana Zöchling, known for expressive prints and collaborations with artists; Nearon – a design studio focusing on upcycling; and Hutmode Biester – the millinery brand by Eva Siebert, producing handcrafted hats rooted in traditional techniques.
