Belgian Fashion Set Against the Hollywood Hills

Every time a press release from Essentiel Antwerp arrives in the Fashion.at inbox, it feels like a small firework of color and good mood. The Belgian label has built its reputation on fashion that expresses joy and plays freely with trends. Essentiel Antwerp stands for clothes that feel optimistic, confident and never boring.

A Belgian label with a clear signature

Essentiel Antwerp was founded in 1999 in Antwerp by Esfan Eghtessadi and Inge Onsea. What started as a small collection of colorful T-shirts quickly developed into a full ready-to-wear womenswear label. Today, Inge Onsea is Creative Director and shapes the collections together with Art Director and Head of Design Tom De Poortere. The brand is known for bold colors, expressive prints and a mix of classic and unexpected elements. Essentiel Antwerp now operates around 40 stores worldwide, including locations in Antwerp, Paris, London and New York.

Spring 2026 campaign set in Los Angeles

This week, Essentiel Antwerp released the campaign images for its Spring 2026 collection. For the new visuals, the label worked with actress Clare Gillies as a role model. The images were shot in Los Angeles, California, using places closely associated with the city. The Hollywood Hills appear as a backdrop, as well as a small fruit bar near the beach, capturing everyday moments with a cinematic feeling.

Key pieces and playful contrasts

Among the key pieces is the asymmetrical tiered tulle midi skirt, available in light green and yellow. Clare Gillies wears it in different styling moods: combined with sporty T-shirt in one scene, and in another look with a blue, white and black striped oversized shirt decorated with bow details. A brown oversized trenchcoat adds another layer, creating contrast between volume, softness and structure. The mix of different styles – such as an oversized shirt paired with a delicate tulle skirt – is a signature of the brand and reflects its relaxed approach to fashion.

In the end, Essentiel Antwerp shows that style does not need to follow strict rules to look chic. The Spring 2026 campaign suggests that confidence, individuality and a sense of play can be just as elegant as perfection.
