Insights into Austrian wine culture: Winery Hauser presents the Grüner Veltliner 'Poysdorfer Saurüssel'

The 'Poysdorfer Saurüssel' is a label with origins in the late 1950ies and a history of heights, lows and since several years heights again. In 2021, the tenth anniversary of the production of wine under the label 'Poysdorfer Saurüssel' by around 15 wineries in Poysdorf is celebrated; the rights on the brand name are back in Poysdorf, Lower Austria since 2010. The special named Grüner Veltliner is a light wine which fits perfectly to dishes like fish, seasonal vegetables, pasta or risotto. Since January 2021, the wine from the latest harvest in 2020, which was in Austria a very good year for vineyard cultivation, is available.

At the website sauruessel.at (with online shop), the Poysdorfer wineries are presenting the special Grüner Veltliner with history and a map of the 'Saurüssel' cycling route which leads along agricultural fields and vineyards in the region of Poysdorf (fast checked today).
