Kitzbühel Insight: Martin Ho's DOTS Group will reopen Club Take Five in a slightly updated interior design with photo exhibition paying homage to the glam of the club's illustrious guests since the 60s

Today, the Austrians awaited the government's press conference concerning the latest recommendations and rules for ending the 4th wave of the Covid-19 pandemic which is still in full swing worldwide. The aim of the government is to increase the country's 'fully vaccinated'-numbers from around 65% with lockdown measures for non-vaccinated nationwide. More restrictive 2G rules will become effective next week in Vienna where recovered and/or vaccinated have to be additionally PCR tested for attending larger events or for visiting night gastronomy. Some Austrian night clubs, especially the more luxurious and chic ones, won't have problems with the normal 2G rules (recovered/vaccinated) as their guests belong rather to the group of the vaccinated. The mentioned 2G plus rule is currently planned for events with more than 25 people and night gastronomy in the capital Vienna.

The latest news from the Austrian night gastronomy scene was spread with announcement of the day of the opening - or better re-opening, of one of the country's night clubs with the longest history, the 'Club Take Five' in Kitzbühel in the Austrian federal state Tyrol.

The club is known as the meeting place of international stars from ski sport (keyword Hahnenkamm races), motorsport (F1), film, economics and politics. From this season, the legendary 'Club Take Five' will be directed by Martin Ho's DOTS Group which runs in Vienna several successful gastronomy and night club locations as well as since this summer an art exhibition space (article). Art will also play an important role at the reopening of Club Take Five. On 26 November, the club will open in a slightly updated interior design with the exhibition 'Icon, Icon, Icon' of photographic works from Martin Ho's own art collection. Among the exhibited artists are Erwin Wurm, Albert Watson, Nigel Parry, Roxxane Lowit, Juergen Teller, Arthur Elgort, Frank Worth, Lawrence Schiller, Rita Nowak, Andy Warhol, Michael Comte, Ellen von Unwerth and Christian Anwander. The selection of photos reaches back to the 1960s, the beginnings of Club Take Five, and pays homage to the glam of the illustrious guests with photos like Erwin Wurm's Photographic Sculpture of Claudia Schiffer from 2009 for Vogue or the picture of Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington at the New York Hotel 'The Plaza'. On occasion of the reopening, DJ Jack. E from 'Les Caves du Roy' in St. Tropez will be on the turntables.
