Vienna Insight: Anna Netrebko created the artwork for this year's Sacher Artists' Collection for the financial support of 'butterfly children' and their families

Since 2009, the annual charity 'Sacher Artists' Collection' collects with the Sacher Torte in a special box money for the support of health research and care with focus on kids and families. The list of the fine artists (Xenia Hausner, Christian Ludwig Attersee, Gottfried Helnwein,...) is published at sacher.com/en/original-sacher-torte/artists-collection/ together with the names of the institutions which received fundings. Opera star Anna Netrebko is the first artist from the field of music. Her artwork is inspired by the cake's ingredients: chocolate and apricot. The proceeds of the Sacher Artists' Collection 2021 will go to DEBRA Austria for helping children with extremely vulnerable skin (like butterfly wings) and their families.
