Fashion.at recipe tip to keep holiday memories simmering: Pasta al limone

With school starting today, the summer holidays in Vienna are officially over! For keeping the sunshine of the last months and a Mediterranean flair in the kitchen, Fashion.at prepared a simple dish with few ingredients and short preparation and cooking time: Pasta al limone. Recipes for the pasta sauce found online vary especially concerning the amount of cream and parmesan as well as the used spice (nutmeg) and herb (basil). Basics of the recipe are spaghetti, heavy cream, parmesan, and the name giving lemon. Fashion.at used thinner spaghetti - spaghettini - less heavy cream but more parmesan than in several recipes recommended and spiced the sauce with nutmeg, without basil.

Ingredients for three portions:
300 gr Spaghettini
125 ml heavy cream
60 gr Parmesan, grated
1 lemon
½ tablespoon nutmeg, grounded
Sugar, fresh grounded pepper & salt

Preparation of the sauce:
Add the grated lemon zest and the lemon juice into a pan
Let it cook until there is almost no juice left
Add the cream and when it simmers, the parmesan
Season it with nutmeg, sugar, pepper and salt

Serve it with a side dish:
Middle-sized plate with mixed vegetable salad (today: green salad, red pepper, cucumber, maize), refined with balsamic vinegar and olive oil
