More than 100 wineries from the World Heritage Cultural Landscape Wachau invite to the special wine tasting days 'Wachauer Weinfrühling' (Wachau Wine Spring) on 30 April and 1 May

Since the beginning of the pandemic, it's the first 'Wachauer Weinfrühling' (Wachau Wine Spring) event that's organized together with more than 100 vineries and an elaborated mobility concept with busses, trains and ferries on 30 April and 1 May. After the events in 2020 and 2021 had to be postponed, participation this year reached a record number of 111 wineries. The Wachau has due to its cultural landscape with focus on viticulture World Heritage status. The culture of vine is also in the focus at the tasting of the agricultural products of the region which are produced under quality criteria and labels such as Steinfeder or Smaragd which apply exclusively to vines grown in the Wachau.

At vinea-wachau.at/aktivitaeten/wachauer-weinfruehling, the PDF document of the event folder (flyer) and map with the addresses of the wineries along the Danube is published together with an interactive route planner for the 'Wachau Train' which runs between Krems, Spitz and Melk with views at the vineyards. The mobility concept is incorporated into the ticket price (25.- Euros for the Wine Spring Ribbon) of the wine tasting event and includes the costs for the use of trains, buses and ferries.
