Vienna & Salzburg Insights: Hotel Sacher presented Easter specials like 'Mr. Rabbit' packaging for the Original Sacher-Torte or menus created for the holidays

Easter is celebrated in Austria as a cultural festival with various events like Easter markets, religious processions, family meetings or high-culture events. This year, Easter week will take place from 10th to 18th April.

On occasion of Easter, Hotel Sacher presented news from the hotels in Salzburg and Vienna, the cafes in Graz and Innsbruck as well as the shop.sacher.com where the hotel's Original Sacher-Torte in two outfits paying homage to the festival will be available from 1st April. The Easter packaging of Austria's most prominent cake appears in two designs which were developed by the inhouse graphic artists of Sacher: 'Floral Elegance' and 'Mr. Rabbit'.

Last mentioned Mr. Rabbit is dressed in the hotel's iconic 'Wagenmeister' (wagon master) uniform which is worn by Sacher employees at the entrance of the hotel (founded 1876). The design of the livree changed only slightly over the decades. At the packaging design 'Mr. Rabbit', the uniform is depicted as part of a photo collage. The digitally drawn pencil work 'Floral Elegance' showing tulips is published at sacher.com/en/easter/ together with details about the family hotel packages including guided tours through Vienna or Salzburg and the announcement of Easter cuisine highlights like breakfast dishes and three, four or five-course menus created for the holidays.
